our little talker

Here's our little talker. Only 3 months old and he's trying to talk as much as his daddy. It sounds like he has a little raspy voice like his cousin Reghan.

Our First Drive around the block

Last night Burke was inconsolable. He would not stop crying for anything. We did some tummy time, tried to feed him, walked around the house, took him for a walk in his stroller, and finally we put him in the car seat and took him for a drive down the road. He fought it for about 2 miles but then he fell sound asleep. Needless to say we are not hoping that this becomes a trend.

Vegas Updates

So far Burke has done amazing in Vegas. He slept most of the flight and only got a little fussy on the decent into the Las Vegas Airport. We have ventured up and down the strip with him and he loves it. We didn't feel like lugging the stroller around so we decided that he could just be carried in Laurie's sling. He sits in it facing out so he can see everything that's going on. It's amazing all the looks we get though. People find it hard to believe that we have a baby here. It's not like he's in the casino strapped to mommy while she is dropping coins into slot machines. My conference is going well. Today is the last day, and we fly home Friday afternoon. We will post some pictures when we get home.

Burke's to do list for today:
- Sleep in
- Have breakfast
- Shop at the Venetian with mommy
- Go to lunch with mommy and daddy
- Watch the fountains at the Bellagio
- Play a little blackjack

Vegas Baby

More like Vegas with a Baby. Laurie, Burke and I are heading to Las Vegas for the week starting on Monday. I have a conference to attend during the week and I get to bring the family along for the ride. Burke has been our little trooper so far and has been amazing at every event we have taken him to. His next test will be a 4 hour plane ride. We are hoping that he sleeps for a good portion of the trip and doesn't annoy the other passengers around us. This kid leads a rough life. He goes to NFL football games, family camping vacations, movies, and now he's going to be a jet setting baby. Wish us luck!

new neighbors?

So I had the front door open and of course Buddy was barking at some
thing. I figured someone was walking their dog or saw a cat. After telling Buddy to stop barking I walked to the door and saw this. They were across the street. I made it into the neighbors yard before they got spooked. I've never seen this in our neighborhood before.

Labor Day weekend

Ava and Reghan Laurie and Burke
Aiden
Addison

All of the Penziol's went to Potato Creek over the weekend and stayed in a cabin. John, Kevin, Paul and Stan had some bonding time while they went fishing. Everyone else went on a bike ride or walk on the trails. Burke and I stayed in most of the time. We went to the playground, played games, had a camp fire and ate smores (except Paul and I Burke was sleeping), walked around at the Blueberry Festival. It was a busy weekend. We had a nice time!

Hail Hail Hail Purdue
