18 months Dane

Dane had his 18 month check up last month.  Dane is pretty quite but into everything.  he climbs on top of everything and is fearless!  I can't believe how fast he can get get on top of the tables, or counter.  He moves furniture around to unlock the doors so now all doors are baby proofed!  he is very busy.  He is also very dramatic.  If he doesn't get his way he throws himself on the floor and cries.  His latest thing is telling on Burke by saying Ouch and pointing to what hurts.  the funniest things he's been doing is getting the vinegar for Burke when Burke does something naughty and Dane will shake his finger at him.  It cracks us up.  When Dane does something he's not suppose to he'll sit in time out and smile and shake his finger or fingers at us:)  He can be naughty and rough but he's also very lovey.  He gives the best hugs and kisses.  For the most part he's mellow and will sit with you.  He loves looking at books and pointing to animals or objects.   When I vacuum he gets the mop he loves to help.  If he spills something he gets a rag and cleans it up w/o being asked to.  (pretty good for being 1. I'm sure that won't last:)  We tried getting rid of his binky but it only lasted for about a 1 week.  He loves it too much!  Dane will eat about anything.  Some of the thing he l loves: grapes strawberries, apples, blueberries, melon, carrots, yogurt, cheese, raisins, pb crackers.

I think it's almost time to start potty training him bc he'll take his diaper off when he has to pee.  He's even woken up dry and peed in the toilet after waking up so he's about ready!  He goes to bed around 8 and wakes up around 7 and he takes 1 nap that lasts about 2 hours
stats:
Height: 32 1/2 in 50%  Weight: 22.8 lbs 25%  Head: 25%

Before his check up he got his 1st hair cut!  He just got a little trim:)

above is before their hair cuts!

California

At the end of February we went to San Francisco with Paul for a conference! The 5 hour plane ride went pretty well. The boys slept for part of it. We got to our hotel Sunday afternoon. We had a great view from the 19th floor. Each day we walked around. There was tons of shopping and restaurants all around us. Unfortunately both boys got the flu while we were there:( but we made the most of it... Tuesday night (on my bday) a vendor took us out for a nice dinner. Thursday the kids felt good enough to go to Fisherman's Wharf and The Aquarium at the Bay. We took the trolley to Lombard St and walked to the bay. The boys really enjoyed seeing and touching the sea stars, bat rays, skates, and a shark. They had a couple octopus, small and large sharks and all kinds of fish, eels, jelly fish, some turtles, frogs, snakes. It was a neat place. Then we went back to pier 39 where the sea lions lay on the piers.
The buildings that the conferences were in were about 10 or 15 blocks from our hotel. The boys and I walked down there 2 days. There was a park and a carousel for the kids.
Our last night, Friday, We went to dinner at our hotel on the 36th floor. The view was amazing the 15 minutes we were there... Right after our food arrived Dane threw up all over the floor. I guess he wasn't all the way better yet:(. We went back to our room and started packing. And that's when we heard watering splashing. I assumed it was Dane in turning the water on in the tube, but no it was him playing and sitting inside the... Toilet! You'd think your first thought would be to get him out ours was to take a picture:)
I was nervous for our flight Saturday morning but luckily it went fine!! It was so nice to be home again!

These pictures are totally out of order:)
