Happy Halloween!!

Saturday night Burke had his FIRST sleepover at Mimi's. (I can count the number of times we have left him on 1 hand and it's only been for a short time so this was a big deal!!) Paul and I went to a wedding with his siblings and then we went to Blue Chip. We had a fun night out! I figured we would pick Burke up when we were done but when I called to check on him he was sleeping. My mom said he was really good and didn't cry at all. I think it was harder on me than it was on him!

Play-Doh

Tuesday the 13th we had 8 kids from mom's club over for a play date. They played in the toy room, in a blow up fire house and w/ play-doh. Burke loves when kids come over to play!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

Saturday we went to Guse's to pick pumpkins. He had such a nice time. I'm sure we will be going back next year. Burke was pretty tired when we got there but he perked right up and wanted to check everything out. He carried a gourd the whole time! They had to coolest corn (sand)box. Burke really enjoyed that :) I love traditions like this!!

Paul was very happy we were with him last week during his training. I wouldn't want to miss seeing Burke's cute little face everyday either. Each morning we walked Paul out and watched by the window so see when he got done. Burke slept in every morning until 7:30 or 8 and took 2-3 hour naps in the afternoons. We stayed very busy. We had a nice getaway but it was so nice to be back in our own house Friday afternoon.

Mini Vaca

Were in Schaumburg Sunday thru Friday this week. Paul is taking a training class for work. Sunday we explored the area and went for a swim. Monday Burke and I hit the outdoor mall. When Paul got done we had a nice dinner at Weber Grill then went to Ikea. Ikea is within walking distance from us. Today I'm taking Burke to the mall. It's HUGE and has a really nice play ground area. We saw it on Sunday but it was super crowded then.

15 months

Burke turned 15 months on the 19th so we had his checkup on the 23rd. Dr Moustafa said he's doing great and met all of the milestones.

Height: 31 inches Weight: 24.4 lbs

I've counted 13 words that he can say. He's also starting to sign for 'berries'. He has 9 teeth and 2 more of his molars are almost all the way in. Burke's down to 1 nap a day. He usually sleep for 2 hours. He goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up around 6.

I'd say his favorite meal is spaghetti with spiral noodles. He loves frozen blueberries and frozen grapes; he eats them every day. He recently starting eating whole apples. He likes to do everything himself so he has to feed himself. Its a bit messy but who cares!

Rain Puddles!

Last night after dinner we went outside to take Buddy out and Burke wanted to walk so I let him...Wouldn't you know he went right for the big puddles of water. He loves splashing and so he really got a kick out of jumping in the puddles!

Brookfield Zoo

The 3 of us had the best time at the Zoo last weekend! The zoo was huge and there was a lot to see. Burke would point at the animals when he saw them. The monkeys were very entertaining to him. We went into the children zoo too. He really liked seeing all of the animals up close and petting them :)

On our way home we stopped by Paul's work to see his new office. Burke of course found a balloon there which made him so happy!
